Rasahus sp.

Description:

Red, black and yellow Assassin, with classic warning coloration and very large front femora. About 1 cm long. Family Reduviidae.

Habitat:

Came to an ultraviolet light. Finca Argovia, Coffee Plantation, Soconusco Area of Southern Chiapas, Mexico.

Thank you bayucca :) This one looks like a mixture of Rasahus sulcicollis and R. thoracicus, with even heavier pro-femora than either. Cool one.

Reduviidae, Peiratinae, Rasahus sp., possibly Rasahus sulcicollis, but I would go with a cf.... Colors are not easy to judge in the links for comparison. But the markings are quite a good match for it.
