House Lizard egg

Description:

Small. Ovoid-ish. hard shelled.

Habitat:

This is surprising. I walked down this verahdah to open the gate. A minute later when I walked back, this was on the floor of the verandah...it would definitely have been trampled. I had no other option but to pick it up (probably disrupting embryo growth) and putting it into a wall storage space where all sorts of may-be-needed things are kept and never searched. Sorry Ashley...it was a no-win situation....you did tell me about the consequences of handling reptile eggs .....

Notes:

I see house lizard (Hemidactylus) eggs all the time and tiny baby lizards too...so I am 99 per cent certain about my guess.

very interesting indeed. I have come across some as big as marbles in the backyard.
