Project Noah Nature School
While walking in a frozen Atlantic White Cedar Swamp today, I came across this cedar tree with over a dozen holes in a row made by a woodpecker. It took 2 pictures to get most of them.
ya i agree with venusflytrapp2000 pileated woodpeckers nest holes are more oval and larger than all the other common species.
it looks like pileated woodpecker. not 100% sure but looks like it.
Ava, thanks for reminding me, I forgot about that one.
Please consider adding this spotting to the Animal Architecture mission at http://www.projectnoah.org/missions/8082...
