Family: Nymphalidae. Tribe: Nymphalina. Wingspan: 1.8 - 3 inches. Orange with black and brown spots. Green hue abdomen.

Habitat:

Open woodlands. Flying very late afternoon. Sunning on log and on leaves.

Notes:

Always get this mixed up with Eastern Comma Butterfly.
