Harmonia axyridis
The Lost Ladybug Project boys and gals are gonna love this. I stumbled across a bush that was covered in Asian multicolored ladybirds, their eggs, larva, and pupa. Sadly this species is invasive and has displaced our native ladybirds, but it was still cool to see all four life cycles on one host plant. The H. axyridis exhibits aposematism, the thing where you're brightly colored cause you don't want to be messed with. They release a compound from their legs when harassed that is bitter to the taste and stinks on your hands for hours.
Native to Asia, but introduced and established elsewhere such as in North America.
