Red-rumped swallow nest

Description:

Red-rumped swallows (Cecropis daurica) build quarter-sphere nests with a tunnel entrance lined with mud collected in their beaks, and lay 3 to 6 eggs. They normally nest under cliff overhangs in their mountain homes, but will readily adapt to buildings such as factories,bridges and in that case, a mall. Spotted and photographed near Larissa city, Greece.

Notes:

Although the pair was flying around and visited frequently the nest, I was not able to snap a proper pic! They were too fast! Perhaps next time!
