Red Giant Flying Squirrel

Petaurista petaurista

These start to climb to the tops of trees around sunset to make their first flight of the night when it is getting dark. Apparently they will sometimes fly after rain during the day. They are best viewed from the tops of the tall towers on the canopy walkway.

Tropical rainforest.
