Eurasian Collared Dove

Streptopelia decaocto

Description:

Introduced in the Bahamas in 1970s, its expansion into North America has been fast, and it has been spotted as far north as Alaska and the Great Lakes. Considered invasive in the Southeast, although its impact on native birds is not known. Posting includes link to its song.

Notes:

Here's its song:

On invasiveness:
Some sources, Wikipedia among them, report the Eurasian Collared Dove occupies an ecological niche between other dove and pigeon species, and so negative impact on native species is lessened.
