Green-eyed hawker

Description:

Fairly large dragonfly. Mostly brown with big green eyes. It has a yellow patch (like a triangle) on the 2nd segment of the abdomen, which is characteristic for the species. It also has orange patches on the wings close to the abdomen, which suggests that this specimen is male.

Habitat:

Resting on a Rhododendron plant.
