Hoffman's Two-Toed Sloth

Choloepus hoffmanni agustinus

Description:

nocturnal, arboreal, solitary, feeds on leaves and fruit

Habitat:

rainforest, 1400m

Notes:

This was the only sloth I spotted in Colombia. It came at the perfect time too because I was leaving Colombia a week later. This sloth was really low in a tangle of vines on some small trees. I felt like I could almost reach up and grab him! I'm pretty sure about the ID but it maybe be the brown throated three-toed sloth. Yotoco natural reserve.
