Tree Swallow

Tachycineta bicolor

Description:

The adult Tree Swallow has iridescent blue-green upperparts, white underparts, and a very slightly forked tail. The female usually has duller colours than the male, often more greenish than the more bluish male.

Habitat:

Anywhere near water.

Notes:

Saw a bunch of these guys fighting over nesting spots and flying around constantly.

I haven't seen them ever until swarms of them showed up at state parks this year. Their blue shimmer is beautiful!(:
