Whitish/pale gray spots on trees in a County nature Preserve. One of several types of lichen in the same area.
The area is in heavy shade. Mixed w/ Oak (several species), Pine, Red Maple. Both Fruticose and Foliose lichen are on numerous other trees in the area. A creek of importance to the area's water shed is 50 yards from the tree. It is not the only tree w/ this; but in the same breathe, not very many trees have it.
