Cackling Geese*

Description:

This species looks like a miniature Canadian Goose except for it"s physical size and proportions. Call of this goose very distinctive form it's relative, the Canadian Goose.

Habitat:

Arctic tundra except during migration. Often shares migratory routes and habitats with it's larger relative. The two species can frequently be seen together, making identification of this bird much easier.

Notes:

* This bird may be referred to as the lesser Canadian Goose in some birding books, as well as at least one birding app.
