Ochlodes sylvanus
Orange-brown relatively small butterfly with faint chequered pattern on both the upperside and undersideIt. Has a distinct liking for Bramble flowers.
Spotted this one in mountains, but can be found throughout Europe to northern Asia, China and Japan. Can be found where wild grasses are allowed to grow tall-hedgerows, woodland clearings and edges.
Well, I'm glad you did. If it weren't for you I wouldn't know these ones I was able to catch on camera. There are so many more around here I want to know their names one day :)
U welcome, Ursula, it was my plasure! love butterflies! that's what I thought until I started doing research for graduate, they are very similar to moths :)
thx jopy! interesting fact-thank you for that! :) it was a bit different from the others i've seen, that's why i thought it might be a moth
It is not moth, it' family Hesperiidae, moths hold down the wings and butterflies raise them upright when resting...
