Unknown Grass

Description:

Shorter growing grass-type plant. Brown flowers with tiny yellow hairs at tips. Fine hairs on leaves and stems.

Habitat:

Sunken Meadow State Park, New York. Trailside hilly area above the beach. Mix of pine and other trees.

Notes:

I think this is a grass. I don't have a good guide to identify grasses. I believe this may be a wild native species but I don't know for sure.
