Blue-gray Gnatcher

Polioptila caerulea

Description:

Adult males are blue-grey on the upperparts with white underparts and have a long slender bill, long black tail and an angry black "unibrow." Females are less blue without the "unibrow." Both sexes have a white eye ring.

Habitat:

Flying all around the Perkiomen Trail and the backyard.

Notes:

Making a LOT of noise as they chase each other through the trees, I had never seen them before. Managed to get ONE shot of one after trying to get a shot literally all day. They wore me out!
