Nameless Pinion

Lithophane innominata

Description:

I love paradoxes, and this species, Lithophane innominata, is quite the paradox! The Nameless Pinion, Lithophane innominata, has a name, so technically it is not nameless. However, that is what it is named so it is a nameless named moth. :-)

Notes:

Lifer!! Similar species include Lithophane bethunei, L. signosa, and L. patefacta.
