A worldwide community photographing and learning about wildlife
Cyphonia clavata
Feeds on the phloem sap of herbs with their piercing sucking mouthparts. Has a distinctive 'helmet' that is an evolutionary adaptation to enable them to camouflage themselves from predators.
Feed on any soft stemmed herbs in open areas especially fields of grass.
