Description:

A medium-size (3.0-3.8 cm wingspan) noctuid moth. Their colour ranges from pale buff-grey to dark red-brown. They are one of the first moths to emerge in the spring. Their season is February-May.

Habitat:

Woodlands, urban parks and gardens. Common to abundant in Eastern U.S., from Southern Canada and the Northern half of the U.S.
