Eastern River Cooter

Pseudemys concinna

Description:

This was the most rambunctious hatchling turtle I have ever dealt with, and his attitude was adorable. The shell is covered in concentric circles, and the skin is black with lots of yellow stripes.

Habitat:

This guy was found basking on the bank in a swamp. The last photo shows his size, he was sitting on my lens cap.
