Banded Woodpecker - Male

Picus miniaceus

Description:

I found this in Rawa Gajah - Way kanan - Way Kambas National Park - Indonesia. I was a bit unlucky, I took this picture but stick on the way.. But you still can see, how beautiful this Banded Woodpecker color. Long crested bright red with yellow tip. Red wings, and upperparts is banded green and yellowish with yellow rump, and washed reddish on the breast. Usually in pair, not so common bird in lowland and mountain forest up to 1400 m. When I say the most bird I like is Woodpecker, that is true.
