Came to an ultraviolet light in the garden, San Cristobal de Las Casas, 2,200 meters. The last 3 pictures are of a slightly redder specimen photographed on 14 May 2013 in the same place.
The other 2 species of Io Moth-like species from San Cristobal are: Automeris excreta and Automeris zozine. http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/212.... http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/222....

Thank you bayucca. Fixed.
ugh! bayucca. OK, I'll check all this mess. :(
The term "Io Moth" is reserved for Automeris io:

I do not think that you can call all Automeris sp. "Io Moth" as common name. You might call them Automeris Moth or Saturniid Moth. To my knowledge there is no Automeris memusae, but only Leucanella memusae. These are 2 different genus/species. Please, check again, thanks.
Added new pictures of this species.
Thank you so much Mayra, Kya and Margarita :))
