Description:

All dark shearwater with dark wing linings, dark slender bill and short rounded tail. It is the only Petrel to breed solely in Australia. Breeds Nov.-March and nests in burrows. ,

Habitat:

This spotting was of a baby muttonbird in the burrow on Cape Woolamai on Phillip Island.

Notes:

We were on a hike around Cape Woolamai area and came across this little one in the burrow.
