New Pod Borer Moth

Adisura marginalis

Description:

About 1.5 cm

Habitat:

A. marginalis is a species of moth of the Noctuidae family. It is found in Myanmar, India, Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam and Indonesia, as well as the Northern Territory, Queensland and Western Australia.

Notes:

The larvae feed on Fabaceae..

You are very welcome Jason! However, I'm not sure that Wikipedia is correct about A. marginalis and A. dulcis being the same species. BoldSystems and the Encyclopedia of Life, two of the largest collections on the internet, labels them as separate species.

Wonderful! Noctuidae, Heliothinae, Adisura sp., and most likely A. dulcis or marginalis. The green eyes and pale yellow coloration is characteristic of Heliothinae.
