Description:

A woodland butterfly that doesn't feed on nectar from flowers but feeds on 'honeydew' secreted from aphids. It has a wingspan of around 5cm and is widespread throughout Europe.

Habitat:

seen in the woodland area of Potteric Carr nature reserve, owned by Yorkshire wildlife trust.
