Bent-toe Gecko

Cyrtodactylus sp

Description:

I have heard of a snake in the grass but this was a lizard ...turmeric yellow and black.

Habitat:

Suntaley Khola is a remote hilly and forested area by the River Murty. This butterfly was spotted in the garden of the resort we stayed in. An elderly guest almost trod on it and I shouted a warning...the gentleman was bewildered and in the confusion the lizard got away.
