Crane Fly

Description:

This Crane Fly is unusual in that it doesn't hold it's wings out when at rest. The wings, abdomen and hind legs are all tightly compacted into a single unit. About 2 cm long. Family Tipulidae.

Habitat:

Came to an ultraviolet light in the garden, San Cristobal de Las Casas, 2,200 meters.
