Tiger Moth

Halysidota sp.


Halysidota tessellaris or Halysidota harrisii (visually indistinguishable as adults). Beautiful moth tan with dark lined brown markings on wings. Thorax is furry and tan with a central banding of yellow lined with a blue and a grayish collar. This is a very fresh individual.


Suburban. Attracted to a porch light at night.
