Rarely, if not ever, do the many chipmunks sit still long enough for me to raise my camera and take a picture. However, this one froze in an extended pose, and eventually started with trepidation to come toward me. Unbeknownst to me, it wanted to dart down into its nest, which about four feet behind me.
