Description:

A soft coral (Gorgonian) spotted while snorkeling in the Caribbean off of Belize at a depth of ~ 5 m. The third photo is a colony with polyps retracted, showing just the branches.

Habitat:

Inhabit most reef environments, from shallow hard bottoms, patch reefs to deep clear water reeds along drop-offs, down to 45 m.
