Description:

superficially similar to stinging nettles when not in flower, dead nettles however do not sting as their name suggests. It is a herbaceous perennial that grows to around 100cm. Can be eaten in salads or cooked with. The bees also love their pollen.

Habitat:

seen growing wild in low common meadows. owned by the yorkshire wildlife trust.
