A common rosette forming herb which is wind pollinated. Ribwort plantain is often a significant component of flower rich grasslands and may appear as prominent as grass, particularly in classic meadows of the Yorkshire Dales (as seen here)

Habitat:

found in low common meadows, an sssi owned by the yorkshire wildlife trust.
