Description:

One of the most common mammals throughout N. Europe although not often seen due to their speed and tiny size. Shrews need to consume 200-300% of their body weight each day in order to survive. They need to eat every two to three hours to achieve this which means that it may starve if it finds no food for as little as 5 hours.

Habitat:

seen in low common, next to the woodlands which is owned by the yorkshire wildlife trust.
