Natalie, it's not a moth nor a cicada. It is just the name that I found in some websites. I agree it is pretty confusing so I change it as Bayucca's suggestion.
It is a Flatidae, Flatid Planthopper. So, this one would be the better common name.
So is it a moth or a cicada?
