Myosotis discolor

Description:

Tiny plant. Simple leaves without petioles, ovate in shape with longer hairs along margins. Stem, reddish with fine flat hairs. Upright stems with purplish-green seed pods, topped with tiny flowers. Flowers start pale yellow with darker yellow centers and change to blue with orange centers as the flowers age. Originally introduced from Europe but naturalized in many areas.

Habitat:

Cedar Creek County Park, New York. Growing along the edge of an archery range.
