Picture-Winged Leaf Moth

Microbelia sp. nr. canidentalis

Builds its cocoon inside the rolled leaf it is perched on. This species has never been documented in the Philippines. My 950th spotting!

Urban garden.

Fantastic shot Leana! So, If I'm getting this right, if this is indeed canidentalis it would be a first record in the Philippines, but it might still be another (novel?) species?

Congrats on finding an undocumented species! Love the bokeh on the second shot, the tomato red goes nice with the green leaf.

Thank you Rieko and Polila! :)
