Weed native to California but also introduced in Oregon and Washington.
Grows from 1.5 to 3 ft tall with free growing branches covered with stiff pointed double divided leaves. Flowers are yellow multi petals growing from a short stem along the branches.
Spotted this near a canal roadside.
Very armored weed.
