Nessus Sphinx Moth

Amphion floridensis

Description:

I was trimming my Virginia Creeper back and this little caterpillar fell down. It seems to be a Sphinx moth since it eats Virginia Creeper.

Habitat:

High up in Virginia creeper vines near my house.

Notes:

It moved when poked gently. I put it back near some leaves but it isn’t moving yet.
