Description:

A large butterfly - wingspan: 75mm.

Habitat:

Mixed forests of pines, cherry and bamboo. cool to warm place. Altitude: 1,700 m.

Notes:

Till now I am not certain whether this is a butterfly -- or a moth! I would like to request friends for an early ID. Thanks. Spotted at our terrace.

Thanks ornithoptera80 for the lead.
The bright markings on the forewings actually made me check on Hesperiidae, especially one of the 'Flats', however this one was too large (Wingspan: 75mm) in comparison to them. Now I'm happy after the clouds being cleared by Mark.
