Description:

Euproctis varians (Walker, 1855). A small Erebid Moth in the Subfamily; Lymantriinae. Very hairy, looking as if it has a lion's mane, whitish-yellow with faint white stripes on the wings.

Habitat:

Spotted on the leaves of the rice crop, half way through the growing season.
