Not sure if anyone can ID this species or not. Obviously full and bloated, this tick was over a quarter inch in length.

Habitat:

Feeding on a mixed mutt, I believe he has some golden lab and boxer in him.

Notes:

You can see a chunk of my friend's dog still in it's jaws. Disgusting little creature.
