Opheodrys aestivus
A long, slender snake that has a bright green back and a smooth, cream belly. These snakes have very long tails that aid in their arboreal life style. This guy was quite rambunctious, and I tried to get him to bite me since he kept opening his mouth like that, but I couldn't get him to, they are very sweet snakes.
Found in a Common Buttonbush at a ponds edge at night, they are easy to find in the right habitat with a spotlight; the belly shines back at you. The last photo shows him climbing a tree when I released him.

Thanks Aaron :) He looks pretty real to me too since he's in a different position is every photo. And others seem to think so too since I won one of the categories at a photo contest with this photo ;)
This photo is so awesome that it almost doesn't seem real but I know that it is. ;-) Great find, especially with their incredible camouflage.
Did you actually take this picture? It doesn't look real.

Ah! lol ;-)
Thanks Jamie, Juan, and Fyn! And Fyn, I wanted him to bite me just so I could say I've been bitten by a rough green haha, they are so docile and rarely bite ;)
Great shots! Why were you trying to get him to bite you?
