Brow back, white belly with an orange bib, and a gray head with a white chin. It was incredibly windy that day (as you can see by the lovely dust storm in the background) and this guy was trying his hardest to just stay on the telephone pole. He looked pretty miserable!
n the side of the road in mixed grass prairie. Right outside of the frame is the only tree in the area and his woman was sitting on the nest in the tree. Normally they are both in the tree, but I guess he got banished to the pole for the day ;)
