Western Ribbon Snake

Thamnophis proximus

Description:

A long, slender snake that is pale blue with black stripes and a single spot on the top of the head. This was the largest ribbon snake I have ever seen, she was right at 1 meter long.

Habitat:

Found while road cruising at night in an oak forest.
