Cyaniris semiargus
This medium-sized blue butterfly was not very active, and stood for some minutes on the same spot before flying on a flower. It's very similar to many other species of the same color.
grassy plain, 1100 mt above sea level
Bellissime foto Adriano! Potresti aggiungerle alla missione per la flora e fauna d'Italia: http://www.projectnoah.org/missions/3649... :)
you're welcome, Adriano! it was not a problem, Lycaenidae are the hardest to determinate, all species are very similar.. :D
These small blues are very tricky :-) I would recommend you tag this as Unidentified to get as much help from the Project Noah community as possible. I'll research it further as I get time but someone may get it before me :-)
there are several other blue butterflies :S do you have any suggestions?
Hi Adriano! It would seem that for Polyommatus damon there is a a while line across the ventral view of the hindwing, which I am not seeing in your picture.
