Pyrausta sp.

Description:

Small, red, yellow and orange moth, 8 mm long. Family Crambidae, Pyraustinae (Pyralidae).

Habitat:

Came to an ultraviolet light in the garden, San Cristobal de Las Casas, 2,200 meters.

Thank you bayucca :) It could be Pyrausta laticlavia, it seems to have a lot of color variation, but the underwings of this one are bright orange with more bands, so I left it as Pyrausta sp.

Crambidae, Pyraustinae, Pyraustini, Pyrausta sp. and might be Pyrausta laticlavia, Southern Purple Mint Moth?? Please, verify!!
