A worldwide community photographing and learning about wildlife
Clavulina subrugosa
This coral fungus was sparsely branched and simple. About 50 mm high, the tips of branches were either rounded or lobed with a very pale brown tinge. A white powdery substance at the base of the fungal clump (pic 2) could have been spores.
Spotted in damp leaf litter in a wet forest with native and non-native trees.
This species is said to be variable in form and colour.
