Description:

A large deer kept by the Sukau Bed & Breakfast lodging house. Although it is lonely, it is friendly to visitors but we are told not to get too close to it in case it may attack. It's scientific name is rusa which is also an official Malay word for deer.

Habitat:

On a small grassland in Sukau Bed&Breakfast in Sukau, Lower Kinabatangan River, Sabah. This species is also found living in rainforests from India to here in Borneo.
