Description:

Tall erect stems (some 6 ft) with large light pink flowers that had overlapping petals.

Habitat:

Spotted in a meadow next to the Umtanum Creek. Cascade foothills.

Notes:

Seeds have a very hard coat and can remain viable in the soil for more than 50 years, seed germination is often triggered after a wildfire.
