Description:

Flesh flies are widespread and belong to the family Sarcophagidae. Their bodies are typically gray (non-metallic) and three black stripes on the thorax.

Habitat:

Spotted on ornamental vegetation in a large semi-urban yard & garden, near a disturbed patch of remnant lowland forest, in the equatorial tropics of northern New Guinea.
